Navy Federal Credit Union Summer Associate Internship (CCO - Data Analyst) in Pensacola, Florida

Overview

Workforce Intelligence (WFI) is a new branch of Workforce Optimization within Contact Center Operations (CCO). WFI is a highly skilled cross-functional team that has a passion for creating effective analytic solutions and driving business decisions with the use of machine learning models and data insights while easing the workload of teams through the development of applications and automated solutions. As a team, we are responsible for the data management lifecycle, providing reliable workforce insights, creation and management of new analytic capabilities, and development of innovative automated solutions to everyday problems. The Summer Associate with work alongside the resident analyst to develop automation solutions for the Workforce Optimization teams.

Partner with business stakeholders and other analysts to understand business data needs, capture data requirements, and perform data collection, processing and cleaning. Provide inputs for data science and business intelligence projects and perform analytical on large data sets to support departmental and organizational objectives. Growing an understanding of business needs and objectives. Solve a range of mostly straightforward problems with some increased scope and complexity. Developing professional with basic skill set and proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques.

The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2025 and ending in August 2025. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.

Responsibilities

•Contribute to the development of technical requirements including data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements; conduct data UAT, and data accuracy, validation, integrity research

•Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis

•Identify and compile data sets using a variety of tools to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business-to-business outcomes

•Document data collection, cleaning, and governance procedures, maintaining comprehensive documentation to ensure transparency, repeatability, and compliance with data governance standards

•Clean and organize raw data and generate descriptive statistics in support of business intelligence and data science projects

•Partner with senior staff to communicate findings and insight to stakeholders

•Collaborate with team members and participate in team projects and initiatives

•Provide data research and write data queries for smaller analytics projects

Qualifications

•Extensive Knowledge of SQL, PowerBI and working knowledge of Python

• Strong understanding of advanced data cleaning and preprocessing techniques and tools

•Effective skill with analytical techniques required for data usage and data cleaning

•Skill interpreting, extrapolating and interpolating data for statistical research and modeling

•Knowledge of various data structures and ability to extract data sources (e.g., PySpark, PowerBI)

•Knowledge of data governance principles and practices
