TAYLOR COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD JOB DESCRIPTION GRANTS PROJECT MANAGER AND CTE RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST Big Bend Technical College The Grant Project Manager will manage all aspects of the Carl Perkins and other Career and Technical Education grants including but not limited to budget, faculty development, and grant compliance. This position requires a high level of initiative and ability to motivate team members in achieving organizational goals while establishing and sustaining a motivational work environment. The CTE Recruitment Specialist will work as part of a student coaching team providing intentional interventions, advising and support to assist students to identify and develop their career and educational goals. The position will collaborate with college staff, faculty, and community partners to develop and enhance relationships in order to improve persistence rates for students.

*This position is contingent upon grant funding.

Qualifications: Experience working in grant programs with a demonstrated ability to collect, analyze and report data to support program goals and reporting requirements. Grant writing and management skills. Experience working with students, clients, community, and business partnerships in an educational setting. Experience with appreciative advising in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities: Planning, implementation, and administration of all applicable grants Monitoring grant compliance to the procedures outlined in the Project Application and Amendment Procedures for Federal and State Programs and all other federal and state guidelines Managing grant budgets and assuring compliance with state and federal procurement regulations Assuring that measurable results-oriented objectives for the projects as listed in the grant are met on time

Determining student eligibility and monitoring compliance of all applicable student grant funds. Complying with state and federal guidelines for Grant Administration Preparing and maintaining grant documentation Preparing written reports and papers for publication and in support of external funding Advise new/prospective and current students in navigating the various career certificate programs Develop, coordinate and facilitate programs, services and processes to increase student success, retention and progression Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to provide resources to students Work closely with students and assist them with problem-solving educational and day-today issues, refer to other agencies for information and to community and campus resources as needed Build a positive mentoring relationship with students and work with and instruct them to resolve issues that impede their academic success Communicate with faculty and staff to stay abreast of program requirements Meet and communicate regularly in person, by phone or computer networks with students to provide information, resources and support Attend Community functions and all feeder school recruitment activities to stay abreast of community resources and to build and maintain partnerships Engage in regular follow-up, contact and tracking of students, data gathering and analysis, and reporting Coordinate activities including orientation, open house, intake, eligibility, advising, education and career planning, enrollment, reporting and procedures Administer/proctor all industry certification, licensure and other applicable CTE examinations Administer the GED Other duties as assigned

Travel Requirements: Must have own transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance to travel to other locations including target area schools, and to attend meetings/trainings.
