ProMedica Health System Fleet Maintenance Technician - ProMedica Transportation Network - Full Time - Days Perrysburg, Ohio
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fleet Maintenance Technician reports to the Fleet Supervisor for daily assignments, task and other projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under close supervision, responsible for completing repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance service. Checks on company vehicles in accordance with prescribed PM policies and procedures. Responsible for accurate record keeping of all services and repairs completed. ACCOUNTABILITIES
All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise
Receives work orders for preventative and emergency maintenance and repairs on a variety of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and other components for gasoline and diesel powered engines.
Performs oil changes, engine tune-ups, and front-end repairs, services vehicles with oil, lubricants, grease packs, water, fluids, and fuel.
Performs minor repairs on gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials.
Performs required tire changes and wheel balancing.
Accounts for all work performed on a work order and properly documents all parts, supplies and labor extended for repairs within the Fleet electronic system.
Responds to road service calls as needed.
Maintain and foster positive and effective working relationships with associated staff and vendors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Skills: Demonstrate people skills and effective communication skills. Ability to prioritize and coordinate a multitude of tasks. Must have proficient computer and keyboarding skills, diagnostic skills, diligence, skills, and ability to safely use hand tools of the trade; diagnose and skillfully repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in gasoline, and diesel-powered vehicles involving the use of specialized tools, instruments, and equipment. Must have own tools and strong automotive repair background.
Years of Experience: One year of experience as a C Tech Mechanic.
Certification: National Automotive Service Technician (ASE) or Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) or obtain within 2 years.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of an automotive technology program
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently move, lift, or carry materials weighting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, bend for extended periods of time. Performs heavy physical labor in a variety of outdoor conditions.
