What does a Civil Engineer in Community Development do?

• Working alongside a team of engineers, designers and project managers to deliver quality engineering and technical activities to achieve successful projects

• Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants, and contractors to facilitate effective project coordination.

• Complete design calculations and records within time and budget restraints

• Gain experience in superintendence & administration of construction contracts

• Oversee the production of civil engineering designs and gain experience in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and 12d to create engineering plans in a digital format

• Contribute to the preparation of reports and other essential engineering documentation.

• Conduct site visits to observe and monitor construction activities, providing valuable insights for ongoing design projects.
