Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team, situated in Peru, Illinois, United States. You will be a part of our finance department, in the accounting industry, where your main tasks will involve handling customer applications, keeping up-to-date customer records, addressing customer inquiries, and supervising customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in automating, streamlining, and enhancing processes

• Contribute in the financial reporting process for internal managerial reporting

• Handle the employee expense reports for our office

• Establish corporate ACH and wire payments

• Engage in monthly GL close tasks as assigned, such as corporate payroll entries and GL account reconciliations

• Maintain a robust business relationship with team members and key staff

• Settle sales tax entries to tax software (Avalara) and perform maintenance/new set-ups as required

• Monitor intercompany accounts and ensure they are balanced

• Develop and keep up-to-date work instructions for all central job responsibilities

• Undertake other accounting duties as requested by the management Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the role of a Staff Accountant.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Familiarity with General Ledger procedures is essential.

• Ability to process Journal Entries accurately is required.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software is needed.

• Knowledge of Oracle software is a plus.

• Experience in QuickBooks is required.

• Familiarity with SAP software is beneficial.
