The role of the Special Education Teacher is to plan, organize and implement an appropriate special education instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, in accordance with the mission and standards of Belmont Charter Network. Work is performed under the supervision of the Head of Special Education, and the Head of School.
The individual in this role must have a working knowledge for athletics and be extremely organized. The Head Coach of TRACK and FIELD is expected to work 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Game Days and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on practice days. Hours are abbreviated in between seasons. This is a seasonal stipend role from September through June in the 23-24 School Year and will be paid out biweekly.
Responsibilities
Run day to day practices
Coach during meets
Handout and maintain uniforms
Set up and maintain equipment
Communicate with AD for needs and or any issues
Travel with team to all contests
Monitor student athlete attendance and academics
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must possess administrative, organizational, and financial skills in addition to a thorough knowledge of athletic policy and procedure.
All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus
Strong written and communication skills;
Displays initiative and ability to follow-through;
Detail Oriented
Enthusiasm for athletics
Ability to work evenings until 6PM and occasional weekends
Qualifications
Minimum Training and Experience
A minimum of two years coaching experience
Experience working with middle school students preferred
