Job Description
We are seeking a Civil Structural Engineer-In-Training (EI) to enhance our already robust team of professionals supporting our clients throughout the US. Our engineers routinely perform forensic investigations, provide consultation, prepare and deliver technical papers; and serve as expert witnesses. Areas of practice to include damage or other failure assessments and evaluations to residential, commercial, and industrial buildings' structural systems and building envelope systems such as roofing, claddings, and fenestrations. Travel to project sites, with on-site inspection activities, is required. Active involvement in professional associations and societies is encouraged and supported.
Job Responsibilities
Conducts field observations and data collection.
Prepares reports detailing observations made and results obtained.
Work is conducted alongside, and under the supervision and responsible charge of a licensed professional engineer.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (from an ABET accredited school required).
State EI-certification (required).
Be prepared to take the P.E. exam within one to three years of employment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
A desire to learn, excel and grow with us and within the profession.
Must reside in or around Philadephia, PA
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to perform minor structural design.
Familiar with building envelope and roofing systems.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel to various project site
