Confidential Employer Quality Engineer (Intern) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Position Description:
The Quality Engineer (Intern) works closely with purchasing and receiving to resolve quality issues. Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices to ensure quality requirements are met during production process. Review Material Test Reports for compliance with customer requirements, applicable specifications, and Rhoads purchase order prior to being released to production. Provides continuous improvement opportunities using applicable methodology and analytics to achieve measurable process and equipment improvements. Assist in developing strategic and operational plans and establishing measurement systems for sustained performance improvements and design content and delivery methods to meet those plans.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and interpret the details of external guidance and industry regulations
- Must identify problems and provide novel solutions to ensure efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process
- Ability to review internal and external guidance and potentially write company procedures
- Evaluate results of destructive and nondestructive testing of metallurgical samples
- Conduct root cause analysis, lessons learned and internal audits, report on results and recommendations
- Ability to communicate requirements in an industrial environment, and to give effective direction by using written and/or verbal skills where appropriate
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Education: Current enrollment at a university majoring in Engineering
