[Job Description: [[Under general supervision, employee is responsible for assisting in the administration and performance of general accounting activities in a manufacturing environment, including the maintenance of the general ledger. Other duties involve participating in the preparation of periodic financial reports - monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement packages. Must be able to demonstrate skills for simplifying and improving accounting systems and internal controls.   • Could be involved in any aspect of the Accounting Department including:

Balance sheet account analysis and accuracy of transactions affecting the general ledger, and various distribution journals (shop floor control, inventory control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer orders) in a manufacturing environment;

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of account analyses and reconciliations;
  • Timely preparation of journal entries and execution of the periodic closing process;

Able to effectively compile selective historical data;

Review and understanding of Periodic Company Sales and Bookings reports;

Reconciliation of inventories held in-house and on consignment to others;

Coordination with Payroll Administrator as required;
