Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment & Admissions
Pitt Business is seeking a collaborative and strategic professional to serve as the Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment & Admissions for its MBA and MS programs. Supporting graduate admissions leadership, this role actively contributes to discussions on recruitment strategy while supporting its execution to attract and enroll high-quality graduate business students. The Associate Director will also oversee the Student Ambassador program, engage with prospective students, and collaborate with key internal partners to enhance the recruitment and admissions experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in graduate enrollment, student recruitment, and understanding of industry trends shaping business education. This position requires travel.
Brief Overview of Job Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Yield (65%)
- Participates in the strategic planning for assigned areas and assists in developing and implementing the overall departmental strategic plan
- Support the development and execution of recruitment and yield strategies for MBA and MS graduate programs
- Represent Pitt Business at national and international recruiting events in addition to online webinars. Travel required.
- Corresponds and/or meets with prospective students, applicants and others seeking information on admissions standards, academic and non-academic programs and student activities

``` - Helps coordinate the planning of on-campus events such as campus visits, open houses and any other activities - Establish communications with the incoming students through their onboarding process - Works with other departments to ensure onboarding programming is established for incoming students
Student Ambassadors (15%)
- Manages the Student Ambassador program to support recruitment and improve application and yield rates
- Recruits, trains and coordinates Student Ambassadors for prospective student engagement
- Develops peer-to-peer engagement strategies to enhance the prospective student experience
Subject Matter Expert (10%)
- Stays informed on trends in graduate business education, including market demand, student demographics and factors influencing prospective students' return to school
- Engages with professional organizations, industry reports and peer institutions to gather insights on evolving recruitment strategies and program positioning
- Shares market intelligence with admissions, graduate programs and student engagement teams to refine outreach, recruitment messaging and enrollment strategies
Supervision (5%)
- Manages recruitment, selection and training of student ambassadors and graduate assistants
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure student ambassadors and graduate assistant student workers are well-equipped for duties
- Manage work schedules and approve timecards for graduate assistant student workers
- Trains and assists lower-level staff; serves as team lead
Other duties as assigned (5%)
Job Summary
Manages student recruitment activities as well as a student recruitment team. Develops effective programs and plans; analyzes prospective student admissions. Corresponds and meets with prospective students. Travels, as necessary, for recruitment activities and events.
Essential Functions
Ability to adapt to changes in admission processes. Work under pressure, while maintaining complete attention to detail and deadlines. Recognize and resolve issues surrounding the application process, including the use of technology. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical Effort
Job is primarily sedentary. However, employee must be able to travel to attend recruiting events which can be intensive during peak recruiting periods. Occasional lifting of heavy objects may be required. Some walking on campus may be required to attend meetings/ev nts.
