WESCO Associate Technical Sales - Digital Product in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

As the Associate Technical Sales - Digital Product, you will partner with sales personnel to develop sustainable enhancement to the Wesco value proposition by means of utilizing Digital Solutions. You will identify key customer requirements and translate to viable solution recommendations. You will help strengthen the long-term success of the organization through identifying cross selling opportunities as well as upsell to digitization. You will enhance relationships and partnerships through evergreen methodology for digitization and work to resolve any issues or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigates the requirement definition and sales process for Strategic Digital Services at key, named accounts.

  • Continuously develops relationships with priority internal and external customer stakeholders, understands their key business issues, and recommends ways to deliver value through digital products and services.

  • Maintains and manages a pipeline of opportunities at key accounts, including all stages of the digital product sales cycle.

  • Communicates customer activity, opportunity status, and strategic plan progress to Manager/Director.

  • Participates in digital solution to enhance the digital solution stack.

  • Provides pre/post-call strategy sessions and training to engaged sales team.

  • Takes an active role in the digital products sales cycle, value proposition, features and benefits as well as education for applicable internal customers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred

  • 1-year proven sales experience in digital product sales

  • 1-year experience in managing multiple stakeholders and projects

  • Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people and resources

  • Ability to understand where potential exists in assigned accounts and can recognize and create opportunities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office

  • Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure

  • Ability to travel 25% - 50%

Working Environment: Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
