Clinical Research Coordinator I

 

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support research grant protocols. The candidate will primarily be responsible for communicating details of the research study with participants ensuring protocol compliance with each study phase and compensating participants if applicable. Candidates will also be responsible for assisting with review of medical records and recruitment. On-the-job research training is available if needed. This position requires excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies. Some travel to hospitals is required.

Job Summary

Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board IRB renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.

Essential Functions

Detail-oriented and excellent communication skills for recruitment. Familiarity with medical terminology and medical record review. Computer experience including Word, Excel, REDCap, and database entry.

Physical Effort

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and carry up to 15 pounds.
