DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Vitalant is hiring an experienced Genome Bioinformatics Analyst to work in a dynamic new role that will allow you to take your Next Generation Sequencing experience to a new level of implementation within Vitalant.

What to Expect: Schedule: Days Monday-Friday. No Weekends. No On Call.

As a Genome Bioinformatics Analyst, you'll get to:  * Conduct biological assessments of gene variants.  * Analyze gene variants for pathogenicity.  * SOP creation.  * Generate clinical reports.  * Validate NGS panel testing.  * Attend meetings with Physicians and Genetic Groups.  * Work closely with Scientific Director, Coagulation Lab.

Requirements  * Master's degree in Bioinformatics or related field (Genetics, Biological Sciences) required.  * Excellent knowledge of genetics and gene mechanisms required.  * 2 years of experience (POST COLLEGE) in Bioinformatics analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data required.  * 2 years of experience in gene variant curation and report writing required.  * Should be able to present complex genomic data to physicians and providers in a clear and understandable manner.
