Robert Half Staff Accountant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering a permanent, internal, employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about expanding their accounting skills and embracing new challenges. The Staff Accountant will actively support finance and upper management, and will be required to demonstrate proficiency in various software including SAP, Peoplesoft, Excel, Access, Peachtree, Solomon, QuickBooks or Timberline.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct heavy bank and account reconciliation work

• Prepare depreciation schedules and review financial reports

• Undertake light tax reviews

• Support special projects as required by upper management

• Utilize accounting software such as SAP, Peoplesoft, Excel, Access, Peachtree, Solomon, QuickBooks or Timberline effectively

• Perform duties related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Execute General Ledger and Journal Entries tasks

• Assist in Month End Close procedures

• Operate NetSuite and Oracle for various accounting functions

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations regularly

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations and maintenance

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries effectively

• Skills in conducting Month End Close processes in a timely manner

• Proficiency with NetSuite for accounting purposes

• Experience with Oracle for managing financial data

• Knowledge of QuickBooks for managing and paying bills, business payments, and payroll functions

• Familiarity with SAP for business operations and customer relations management
