This key contributor will implement and modify strategies and oversee activities related to environmental regulations affecting assigned products/solutions, ensuring internal stakeholders are apprised of proposed and pending regulations and interact with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies during development of regulations. He or She will collaborate with team members to create and implement Daikin Applied America's (DAA) decarbonization, energy, refrigerants and indoor environmental quality strategies. This leader will understand external trends and policies that impact assigned products/solutions, comprehend business risks and opportunities from multiple aspects, communicate them to leaders, and incorporate them into strategies and action plans. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with other Daikin environmental regulatory entities to ensure unified strategies and effective execution to achieve positive business results. What you will do: Implement and modify DAA environmental advocacy strategies and policies in assigned areas in collaboration with other Daikin entities Represents DAA on assigned working/task groups Implements DAA energy and efficiency strategic plans and priority initiatives Conducts research in collaboration with global experts and alliances (government and nongovernment) Interact and advocate for DAA with industry trade association staff and committees (Ex. AHRI, ASHRAE), governmental regulatory agencies (Ex. DOE, EPA) and safety agencies (Ex. UL, ETL, ASME) Participate on assigned technical and regulatory committees for standards and regulations affecting company products/solutions Collaborates with R&D functions and product and engineering leaders to establish technology and solutions plans Monitor North American federal (U.S. and Canada) and provincial (Canada) regulations that directly or indirectly affect assigned products/solutions.
