About the Role:

As the Head of Procurement in Mexico, you'll be responsible for managing a large team of employees responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service provider for outsourced services. You will also assist multiple clients or departments with the development and execution of complex sourcing and procurement strategies. Will manage the communication with stakeholders,

What would you do?

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Assist with the development of company-wide policies and procedures, playbooks, and other organizational materials.

  • Work with business stakeholders, operational, global shared services team members and executive sponsors to develop, coordinate, and execute strategy at local, regional, and global levels.

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of large quantities of goods and services.

  • Oversee the process of contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals. Inform peers and corporate management staff of changes or results.

  • Manage supplier and contractor certification process. Conduct periodic visits to high-profile supplier work locations to review vendor performance. Approve and manage costs related to the service provider.

  • Mentor and educate on contemporary outsourcing practices and the value of applying them. Manage issues and expectations across a broad range of skill sets, locations, and cultures.

  • Review all RTFs, and select solutions, and agreements. Approve contracts with national and regional service providers. Ensure contracts adhere to company standards.

  • Act as a key point of contact for utilization management and coordination with outside procurement solutions.

  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

What would you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline.

  • 5+ years strategic sourcing/procurement

  • Desirable Experience in the sourcing and hiring of FM services

  • Desirable Experience in Corporate Real Estate (CRE) environments

  • Experience in managing client and supplier relationships

  • Experience leading/managing/developing a team to achieve shared outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies and lead team in implementing those strategies

  • Proven ability to effectively manage in a matrix organization with the ability to influence up, down, and across the organization

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate, influence and liaise effectively with people at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to Analyse and solve complex challenges / problems

  • Strong understanding of procurement, contract management and probity processes

  • Strong understanding of supply chain activities and supporting systems

  • Strategic thinking to identify/understand strategic objectives and ability to mobilize the team to deliver against these.

  • Action oriented and Results driven whilst maintaining positive and constructive professional relationships

  • Highly collaborative and able to drive cross functional outcomes

  • Highly accountable

  • Instils trust, both with direct teams, across the organization, and with customers and suppliers

  • Proven aptitude in managing the strategy and execution of operational, complex, high value, high risk and business critical procurements across services lines

  • Demonstrated experience in providing subject matter consultation on projects to achieve favorable, long-term procurement outcomes

  • Resilience, proactivity, and an ability to work at pace in an evolving and demanding environment
