Olympic Medical Center Referral Intake/Schedule Coordinator, Home Health in Port Angeles, Washington

*FTE: *100% (40 hours per week)

*WORK SHIFT: *Days

*PAY RANGE: *$21.59 per hour - $32.08 per hour

*UNION: *UFCW 3000-Home Health

 

Weekend & Holiday Shifts: Yes

On-Call Shifts: No

 

Premiums:

  • Weekend Premium $4.00/hour

  • Lead Premium?   ? $3.25/hour

  • Preceptor Pay?    $1.00/hour

  • Per Diem Premium    15% (on base plus steps, in lieu of benefits)

  • Certification Premium? $2.00/hour

  • Weekend Coordinator Pay (chg)? ? 5% on regular pay

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Referral Intake/Schedule Coordinator is responsible for both the processing of intake requests for home health services and scheduling clinical staff* to perform patient home visits in accordance with physician orders and the home health plan of care. The coordinator also assists with other scheduling of staff, such as for meetings and in-services. This position is responsible for coordinating and verifying insurance eligibility and benefits along with data entry, visit tracking, and verification of visit completion.      

*Clinical staff includes Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Medical Social Workers, and Home Health Aides. 

EDUCATION

  • Associates degree with emphasis in business, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Medical terminology preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with medical office procedures and support functions preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, multi-tasking setting.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

  • Valid Washington driver's license.
  • Proof of insurance on automobile used for work.
  • Driving record in compliance with OMC standards currently in effect or as may be amended.  See HR Policy 3.12 Driving for OMC Business.
