Purpose of Role

The APLM, Footwear – Sportswear is responsible for building performance driven innovative product for the Sportswear Category. This person will connect with the consumer, help execute and implement strategy, and build product to help make the Sportswear consumer better.

Your Impact

• Build the product line and help carry the process from concept to commercialization. Assist in building the brief and communicate the vision to cross functional partners. Work with design, development and sourcing through the fit and development process to deliver great product that hits margin targets and the numbers

• Data and systems management. Oversee, manage, and ensure all systems + data are up to date and input on time

• Develop business acumen. Partner with planners, merchandisers, sales, and PLM/SPLM/DIRECTOR to develop strong understanding of the numbers. An APLM should be able to analyze and articulate information around bookings, sales, and trends to inform future line plan decisions

• Connect with the consumer. Travel locally and regionally to work with, observe, and gain crucial athlete insights informing and influencing product

• Be knowledgeable on the market landscape and the competition

• Assist PLM/SPLM/DIRECTOR to outline and manage seasonal business plans to include growth opportunity based on product range (styles/skus), price positioning, channel distribution, delivery launch and flow through

• Work closely with PLM/SPLM/DIRECTOR to understand how to creatively drive your business by building profitable, market right, consumer right product that is in line with department and company financial targets

• Have detailed knowledge of the product in your category – keeping record of models, builds, fabric, trims, fit, costing and approval timelines pertaining to each style

• Understand and regularly utilize sales plans and selling reports to interpret style information that is relevant to your categories

• Work closely w/ your PLM/SPLM/DIRECTOR, Marketing and Sales Groups to learn how to best represent your product offering and the brand in account doors and elsewhere through creative and relevant story telling

• Assist in product category presentations internally and externally

• Support your PLM/SPLM/DIRECTOR by being pro-active and instrumental day in, day out as the team plans current season’s assortment and identifies future seasonal opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong presentation, time management, collaboration and influencing skills. Team Player Attitude

• Preferred experience managing Full Product Life Cycle

• Strong Presentation and Collaboration skills

• Experience mining consumer insights & translating into product solutions

• Ability to multi-task across categories and functions

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Minimum 1-3 years of product line management experience or related work experience

• Product marketing and Consumer insight experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Base Compensation

$77,996.60 - $107,245.93 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
