Jacobs Senior Water Project Manager Portland, Oregon

We are looking for a driven, intellectually curious, and client-focused Water Market Project Manager in Portland, OR, to support our water, conveyance, water resources, and/or energy resources teams. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects and engagements as the Project Manager and/or Client Service, Strategic Marketing, Business Development, and/or Technical Lead - planning, strategizing, directing, and monitoring all aspects of engagements with high degrees of technical complexity from the planning and concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. Among the many types of water projects led by this team are conveyance and pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, reservoirs and storage, dams, hydroelectric, and fish passage projects. You will be leading a multidiscipline design team to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development strategies. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or another water related engineering field including but not limited to Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 10 years of directly applicable experience
• A minimum of 5 years of directly applicable project management experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License(s) in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and/or Hawaii, or ability to secure such licensure within 1 year
• Proven experience in planning and design projects.
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or another water related engineering field including but not limited to Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• 15 or more years of directly applicable experience
• A minimum of 10 years of directly applicable project management, or other similar leadership/managerial, experience
• Proven experience managing teams of planning or design professionals
• Local candidates with strong network with local municipalities, water agencies, or other water market clients
