Job Summary

Hands on general routine maintenance, repairs, and service functions for the facility and its equipment; and be able to work flexible schedules as needed to complete PMs or projects during off shifts.

Primary Duties

  • Perform a variety of general maintenance and service functions including installations and repairs of facility equipment.

  • Demonstrate general knowledge of PPE, Ergonomics, LOTO, Hazardous Material Recycling Programs, safe Power tool operating practices, and safe PIT equipment operating skills.

  • Execute preventative maintenance programs while minimizing production and maintenance downtime.

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and through email, with Department Lead to minimize problems associated with Maintenance activities.

  • Help advise on maintenance improvements, building improvements, and other facility projects.

  • Battery Changer

  • Machine breakdown calls

  • Tech 2 Support

  • Office electric repair

  • Back-Up Custodian

  • Equipment LOTO

  • Run Floor Scrubber

  • Office/Warehouse Painting

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Key Accountabilities:

  • Participate in department meetings and projects

  • Operate within standard operating procedures

  • Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area

  • Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines

  • Timely and regular attendance

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to be a full- time battery changer, full time Maintenance Support, part time custodian when needed, and run floor scrubber

  • Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operator manuals, and maintenance instructions. Must demonstrate clear verbal communication and legible hand writing and show understanding of PPE and LOTO Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 45 pounds.

  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; bend; climb; use hands to finger, talk and hear for up to 12 hours. The employee is regularly required to reach, push, pull and regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

Education / Experience

  • High School or equivalent and Associate’s Degree in Related Field

  • Apprenticeship in Related Field / 2 - 3 Year on the job Experience in Related Fields

  • Related fields include: Electrical, Lighting, Plumbing, Welding, HVAC, Dry Wall Repair, Painting, Battery Handling, PIT Equipment Repair, Yard Driver, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics
