Housekeeping Job Responsibilities:The following list of day-to-day job responsibilities may differ significantly depending on your client mix.

  • Cleans and sanitizes hotel rooms, offices, public areas, restrooms, and residential areas.
  • Vacuums, mops, and sweeps carpets and floors.
  • Cleans windows and mirrors.
  • Makes beds and changes linens.
  • Replenishes toilet paper, hand towels, soap, and other toiletries.
  • Empties and cleans trash cans and replaces liners.
  • Washes dishes, utensils, kitchen gadgets, and appliances.
  • Tidies and organizes personal items and belongings, drawers, closets, and storage spaces in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Washes, dries, irons, folds, and puts away laundry.
  • Reports maintenance issues, including changing light bulbs.
  • Deep cleans carpets, drapes, and upholstery.
