Mettler-Toledo, LLC Jr. Finance Controller in Princeton, New Jersey
Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Jr. Finance Controller, you will be responsible for managing the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial management principles, and the ability to work strategically to support organizational goals. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Driving the financial performance and measurements with a focus on strategic finance.
- Measuring understanding trends and helping to allocate resources accurately and make smart decisions.
- Overseeing month end close and the budget process.
- Working with senior leadership to ensure resources are properly allocated.
- Overseeing the accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Overseeing the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Coordinating the provision of information to internal and external auditors during annual audits.
- Monitoring and managing cash flow optimal performance and cash flow metrics.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a CPA is preferred.
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-8 years' experience in the accounting/finance field.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment that involved inventory accounting.
- Ability to work fully onsite at our Plainsboro, NJ office.
