Defense Security Service Program Specialist (Project Officer) in Quantico, Virginia

Summary The incumbent serves as a Project Officer for the Chief Information Office (OCIO). Responsible for managing an extensive portfolio of large-scale projects, and a variety of routine administrative, technical, and communications duties supporting the CIO senior leadership team. As a Project Officer, the incumbent is responsible for the planning and facilitating a range of complex projects, conducting analysis as well as coordinating and executing critical executive functions to support the CIO. Responsibilities As a Program Specialist (Project Officer) you will be responsible for the following duties: Researches and applies a wide-range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products. Experience with setting up Microsoft (MS) Teams, Zoom for Government, Video Teleconferences (VTCs) and Adobe Connect for senior level meetings Provides strategic communications support to the command group and staff organizations for special projects, Very Important Personnel (VIP) visits, awards ceremonies and All Hands to address a wide variety of issues across a diverse audience. Managed routine directorate level meetings to include preparing agendas and documenting meeting notes. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-07) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: The incumbent must have experience in organization structure and manpower. With a through knowledge of staffing and routing documents internally and externally within a Task Management system. Experience with setting up Microsoft (MS) Teams, Zoom for Government, Video Teleconferences (VTCs) and Adobe Connect for senior level meetings. Project Management - Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance. Education If substituting education for experience at the GG-09 level, you must possess a masters or equivalent degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.B. or J.D.
