Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to support our Biological R&D Division, focusing on optimizing planned activities and defining non-critical paths to improve resource utilization. This role will ensure that activitiessuch as routine equipment calibration and executing quality control processesare strategically condensed to free up resources and increase operational efficiency. Additionally, this position will drive the structured migration of existing projects from a joint client-consulting model to a fully owned consulting project, ensuring a seamless transition.
This role requires strong process management, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination skills to align project execution with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimization of Planned Activities & Non-Critical Paths
Analyze and define non-critical paths in project workflows to condense and parallelize activities, reducing idle time and increasing overall efficiency.
Streamline processes such as equipment calibration, testing, and data validation to minimize resource bottlenecks.
Ensure teams prioritize critical-path tasks while simultaneously optimizing support activities.
- Resource Utilization & Project Scheduling
Develop finite schedules to align cross-functional activities while reducing redundant work.
Work with bioreactor calibration, quality control, and process validation teams to maximize efficiency.
Implement data-driven decision-making using Power Project and MES reports to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Transition of Projects to Full Consulting Ownership
Develop and execute a structured migration plan to transition projects from a joint effort between the client and the consulting company to a fully managed consulting-led initiative.
Establish clear ownership, governance, and operational frameworks for the consulting team.
Ensure the transition aligns with compliance, quality, and financial expectations while maintaining operational continuity.
- Issue Management & SWAT Team Coordination
Lead SWAT meetings to quickly assess and resolve issues related to process delays, quality concerns, or resource constraints.
Facilitate decision-making on when and how to adjust project schedules, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned.
- Stakeholder Communication & Change Management
Work closely with Finance, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains.
Develop clear project roadmaps, communication plans, and reporting structures to ensure transparency in decision-making.

Skills and Requirements
10+ years of project management experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments.
Strong understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
Experienced leader in operations optimization, or process engineering in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Experience managing change control, issue resolution, and financial analysis for large-scale projects.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive accountability, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Experience with digital tool implementation and training program development is a plus.
High degree of proficiency in Planner Premium project management software
Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
Familiarity with Waterfall project management methodologies.
Experience with single-use technology implementation in biopharma manufacturing. null
