Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and systems. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements while leading the quality assurance team in monitoring and enforcing quality standards throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer requirements.

  • Lead daily quality control operations and manage the quality assurance team to monitor and enforce quality standards throughout the production process.

  • Oversee inspection, testing, and validation processes for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

  • Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects, improving process efficiencies, and enhancing overall product quality.

  • Lead and conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and customer service teams to resolve quality/customer issues and implement best practices.

  • Participate in process validations to ensure manufacturability and quality.

  • Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including quality manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), inspection reports, and audit findings.

  • Lead and manage quality performance metrics to management in the form of Management Review.

  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and interface with customers and regulatory bodies regarding quality concerns, audit responses, and compliance matters.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of quality assurance experience within the plastics industry or a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to manage and develop existing quality team.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques (e.g., Minitab, Excel, MATLAB, etc.).

  • Auditing experience related to ISO 9001.

  • Knowledge in GD&T.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB).

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.

Work Environment

The shift can start around 7 - 7:30 am each day. The work environment includes standing for long periods of time, the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, as well as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and kneeling. There is a possibility of exposure to noise, uncontrolled temperatures, and chemicals. Occasional travel to customer sites or suppliers may be required.

This is a Permanent position based out of RANCHO CORDOVA, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
