Microsoft Information Protection Team is growing fast and looking for a Software Engineer to join the team! We are committed to provide best in class data protection for Microsoft customers. Our team fosters an agile development environment, continuously gathering and analyzing data to combat evolving threats. • Design secure and robust modules that are modular and easy to maintain

• Write thorough and targeted tests

• Colaborate with partners and customers to evaluate security features

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years industry experience in software engineering

• 2+ years industry experience with writing, testing, and debugging C/C++ code

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

• Coding experience on Windows, OSX, Linux, iOS, and Android preferred

• Experience with C# preferred

• 4+ years industry experience in software engineering

• 3+ years industry experience with writing, testing, and debugging C/C++ code

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
