APTIM Marketing & Event Specialist in Remote, North Carolina
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Marketing & Event Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role will be responsible for crafting, reviewing, and executing on-message communication to various stakeholders. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing marketing events to promote energy efficiency programs.

Our consultants proactively collaborate with clients to define and implement strategies and campaigns around key business drivers, with the primary focus of finding and delivering high-impact projects exceeding expectations and meeting the unique needs for our commercial and retail clients.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Organize and execute marketing events, such as community events, training webinars and appreciation events.
Create and manage program events calendar.
Collaborate with team members to develop event strategies and plans to meet marketing goals.
Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and venue staff to ensure event logistics are properly managed.
Create and distribute invitations, promotional materials, and other event-related communication to target audiences.
Manage event budgets, contracts, and expenses to maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Measure and asses event success metrics and report results to leadership and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain relationships with administrator, implementers, and end customer stakeholders to enhance marketing opportunities.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to continually improve event effectiveness.
Utilize technology and social media to enhance event promotion and engagement.
Maintain an overall positive and professional image of company and brands during all events.
Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in marketing, communications, hospitality, or public relations from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in marketing or event management at a professional level.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in customer engagement and coordination.
Able to work effectively and professionally both in a team and autonomously.
Computer Skills desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Event Management Software, marketing automation tools, social media applications, and digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, SEO, and SEM.
Self-starter with the ability to manage time, work independently, prioritize projects within established deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to execute marketing/outreach strategy.
Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as clients and vendors.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management, project management, and follow-through.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience with client engagement and event coordination.
Experience in managing event budgets and negotiating contracts with vendors.
Analytical skills to asses event performance metrics and generate reports to measure success.
Crisis management skills to handle unexpected issues or crises during events.
Networking abilities to build and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years' experience in the energy efficiency industry preferred.
Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions including, lighting, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
