FANNIE MAE Salesforce Developer (Hybrid) in Reston, Virginia

Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to designing, producing, testing, or implementing routine or foundational software, technology, or processes, as well as contribute to creating and maintaining IT architecture, large scale data stores, and cloud-based systems.

The Salesforce Developer role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Salesforce Development

  • Gather and document information about the needs of the customer and create preliminary solution frameworks.

  • Under the guidance of management, design and develop software solutions to meet needs.

  • Apply fundamental knowledge of process-driven approach in designing solutions.

  • Collaborate with senior staff to implement new software technology.

  • Maintain existing software using standard methods, practices, and precedents.

Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Desired Experiences:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in Salesforce Development

  • Strong preference for candidates who are Salesforce.com certified in the following areas: Certified Administrator, Certified App Builder, Certified Platform Developer I and Certified Platform Developer II

  • Strong Programming / Java background preferred

  • Experience using software and computer systems' architectural principles to integrate enterprise computer applications

  • Good communication skills along with problem solving and analytical skills

Skills

  • Expertise in service management concepts for networks and related standards such as ITIL practices or SDLC

  • Experience defining and managing changes to documents, code, computer programs, websites, and other files to enable collaboration and ensure teams are working from the latest version

  • Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages

  • Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.

  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion

  • Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing

  • Experience using software and computer systems' architectural principles to integrate enterprise computer applications such as xMatters, AWS Application Integration, or WebSphere

  • Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action

  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal

  • Product Testing including testing and evaluating software, usability testing, UAT, and using relevant product testing technology
