Description
The Leidos CIO Services Customer Experience (CX) team is seeking a User Experience (UX) intern. The selected candidate will work with the UX Team Lead and other team members on multiple projects applying UX processes, methods, and tools to support our user-centric IT initiatives.
The CX team is an internal-facing team that provides user experience (UX), organizational change management, training, communications, and documentation support for all facets of IT to Leidos’ 40,000 employees.

We prepare employees for new technologies through communications and training, provide and update information about existing technologies, and improve interfaces and processes so that they can focus on their business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.
You will report to the User Experience Manager and will work with a geographically dispersed team of project managers, executives, and engineers to help other Leidos employees understand IT processes and changes.
This dynamic role blends UX, communication, training, Data analytics, IT, psychology, customer service, and writing focused on creating a positive user experience. You will learn how to apply user experience processes and methods to create a positive user experience across the enterprise.

Edit existing and create new IT instructional and informational content, working with engineers to ensure it is correct, meets requirements, and is user-friendly.
Publish content such as blog posts, mass emails, and Wiki articles.
Create and design new, and reorganize existing intranet sites, wiki articles, and pages to make them more user-friendly and visually appealing.
Write and configure user research surveys to help capture user input on various IT-related topics.
Schedule, produce, record, and publish online training and create training videos.
Create user research-finding reports and presentations.
Recruit and schedule participants for usability testing sessions, focus groups, and user interviews.
Assist UX team with writing testing and interview scripts for various projects.
Capture and publish usability testing sessions and focus group notes.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to review, edit and organize content and make it easy to find and understand.A strong aptitude and interest in writing and following established style guides, templates, and processes is required. A keen eye for details, especially when it comes grammar and spelling, is required.
Comfort with IT, cybersecurity, applications, infrastructure, and mobile devices. Ability to research and learn how to use IT systems and tools quickly with minimal support and explain it to others in plain language.
Advanced writer and editor. Ability to translate complex technical subject matter into user-friendly, brief communications and instructions.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Figma, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on a timeline following a schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
You are a student in the User Experience, Design, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, IT, or Psychology field who wants to learn more about IT and the people side of technology.
We are looking for someone who is a critical thinker and a self-starter. You maintain a positive attitude and are a team player who can work well with individuals from all levels of an organization.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
