nVent HR Manager in Reynosa, Mexico

The HR Manager must be passionate about influencing and collaborating with employees at all levels of the organization. Ideal candidates will have the right blend of strategic approach but also know when to investigate to carryout results.

As a strategic business partner, the HR Manager is responsible for partnering with Reynosa Campus and Mexico City Leaders on a broad range of HR initiatives and programs. In addition, the individual will participate in strategy development and deployment activities, requiring collaboration with all functional leaders.

  • Coach, mentor and empower, a versatile HR team.

  • Implement and drive Human Resources initiatives that align with business strategies including but not limited to union labor relationship, performance management, compensation practices, HR policies and practices, training, and full employee life cycle processes.

  • Partner with functional experts on the establishment and facilitation of employee training needs including new employee orientation, leadership development and cross-training while leading the local talent development processes.

  • Partner with leadership teams to create and implement actions or projects for stronger and cost effective workforce planning and management, including organizational development, organizational planning as well as employee development and engagement ensuring alignment to nVent culture.

  • Lead recruitment for front-line positions developing a staffing process by partnering with business groups to identify workforce needs and develop sourcing strategies to hire qualified and hard-working employees for our organization. Contract with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees.

  • Responsible for leading all aspects of employee relations and investigations on employee complaints that could result in legal ramifications or organizational exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on established practice and relevant laws.

  • Responsible for all regional communications, policies and employee guidelines to achieve goals and fulfill legal requirements.

  • Responsible for coordinating Mexico payroll while connecting with enterprise HRIS, Compensation and Benefits functions as needed to provide solutions for clients.

  • Promote and champion the nVent Continuous Improvement culture through an empowering, open minded and proactive approach and by acting as a motivator for organizational change.

  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

YOU HAVE:

  • Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or related field.

  • 7+ years previous experience in or with human resources including 3+ years’ experience with people management

  • Bi-lingual required

  • Manufacturing experienced preferred.

  • Union negotiation and labor relations experienced preferred

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of pay and employment laws, practices, and legal requirements.

  • High level of social skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

  • Ability to apply strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to cultivate a collaborative environment.
