Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift) in Rittman, Ohio

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic ($75k+)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance in our can line department. The role involves maintenance repairs on conveyors, pumps, fans, screens, cylinders, and motors, as well as troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring lockout/tagout procedures are followed. This position requires attention to fine details, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical maintenance in the can line department

  • Conduct maintenance repairs on conveyors, pumps, fans, screens, cylinders, and motors

  • Troubleshoot equipment using sight, sound, and smell

  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks

  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures

  • Work with fine details to identify and solve problems

  • Communicate effectively between shifts regarding maintenance issues

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude with gear boxes, motors, servo motors, conveyors, rollers, and bearings

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

  • Knowledge of 480V systems and ability to perform minor repairs without an electrician

  • Troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician

  • Experience working in a paper or steel mill, chemical plant, or similar industrial environments

  • Familiarity with high-speed packaging and bagging equipment is a plus

  • Skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabrication, and forklift operation

  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and 3-phase electrical systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75171.20 - $77251.20/yr.

$1500 sign on Bonus - ($750 after 6 month $750 after 1st year)
