Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) by engaging with key government accounts? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon Web Services as a key technology platform provider?

As an Account Manager for Public Sector you will have the exciting opportunity to help promote the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibility will be to increase the market penetration of AWS in key customer accounts in Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technical background that enables them to engage an account at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

  • Help to drive business growth and expansion in a defined territory.

  • Develop and execute against a territory plan.

  • Manage numerous accounts concurrently & long-term.

  • Articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.

  • Accelerate customer adoption.

  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Some travel to customers site

Basic Qualifications

  • Substantial technology related sales, business development, and/or sales engineering/consulting experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; fluent in Arabic and English

  • Public Sector account management experience

  • Proven market expertise in the Saudi market is essential for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.

  • SaaS/Cloud experience.

  • Travel might be required
