Job Description:

Highland Hospital a 261 bed community teaching hospital and affiliate of the University Of Rochester Medical Center is recruiting for experienced Labor & Delivery Surgical Technologists to join our Family Maternity Center. Qualified candidates must be able to work a full time, 40 hours per week, rotating day/evening/night with weekend rotation and 50% of the holidays.

The Family Maternity Center has 10 labor beds, 30 post-partum beds, and a special care nursery, care for higher risk situations and are known for its outstanding care and Rochester’s most newborns each year.

The Labor and Delivery LPN is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesiologist, registered nurses, and other personnel to deliver quality patient care before, during, and after surgery as well as assumes other appropriate unit responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

Fulfills the educational requirements to be a licensed LPN in New York State. 1 full year of Scrub Technician in a Labor and Delivery setting highly desireable. American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required.
