Job Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

  • Senior Admissions Operations Specialist’s utilize multiple information systems including Slate, Campus Solutions, FileZilla, OnBase, Tableau, Avaya, and five9.

Customer Service Functions

  • Provide assistance by phone and email to prospective students, their families, and college counselors.

  • Participate in select in-person RIT Open House events hosted by the Undergraduate Admissions Office.

Admissions Application and Decision Processing

  • Verify and update admissions records to ensure correct data for first year, transfer, and foreign national applications.

  • Process admissions data and application decisions at various stages of the admission cycle .

  • Identify, delete and/or merge duplicate records in Slate.

  • Support RIT global campuses with application loading and updates.

  • Update admissions records including processing matriculation of students.

  • Admission Decision execution (letter generation and upload to Slate).

  • Merit letter execution (letter generation and upload to Slate).

Administrative Support Functions

  • Manages the processing of application fees and enrollment deposits.

  • Provide support to the Undergraduate Admissions team in various recruitment initiatives.

  • Expected to be involved with updating training documents used as a reference by peers and assist with training team members and/or student employees.

Required Qualifications:

5 years related office experience with significant telephone communication and administrative skills. Experience working in Undergraduate Admissions and with Slate, PeopleSoft and OnBase applications is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Must have strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Must be highly flexible and able to work in a fast paced, high energy work environment that emphasizes measurable work outcomes to meet institute deadlines.

  • Demonstrate ability to work with confidential information, which is highly sensitive and personal in nature.

  • Must be able to work confidently with desktop applications, databases, and networked information systems.

  • Able to work independently and demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing demands.

  • After training, must be able to apply knowledge of Slate, PeopleSoft and OnBase to solve problems in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in Undergraduate Admissions and with Slate, PeopleSoft and OnBase applications.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Process and monitor a high volume of applications, related admission credentials, and admission decisions for first year, transfer, foreign national, and global campus applicants. Provide information assistance by telephone, in person, and written communication.
