Job Description:

Provides the application of principles, methods and procedures of measurement, prediction, non-medical diagnosis, testing, counseling, consultation, rehabilitation and instruction related to the development and disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, and/or language for the purpose of preventing, ameliorating or modifying such disorder conditions in individuals and/or groups of individuals.

Salary Rate

$72,500-$94,894 annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:

1.

  1. Education : Meets the requirements to be a licensed SLP in NYS, andhas a certificate of clinical competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

  2. Experience: Prefer at least two (2) years of clinical experience. Experience in the acute care setting also preferred.

  3. License/Certification Required: Must be registered as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in . Applicants with certification and ability to perform objective swallowing studies (i.e. Modified Barium Studies and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow) preferred. BLS required

  4. Skills: Basic computer skills including Microsoft office.
