The Job's Mission

Reporting directly to the Senior Business Unit Director of the Southern Europe Spine division, the Account Executive Enabling Technologies oversees the technical and commercial activities of high value capital products across Southern Europe (Italy, Spain and Portugal).

Position Description

  • Stryker Enabling Technology Account Executive is responsible for delivering sales of high value capital products

  • Develops and maintains outstanding relationships with the company’s prospective and installed base customers, and leverages relationships to drive recurrent sales cycles for the company’s products.

  • Cultivates new sales opportunities and effectively manages leads generated by the company.

  • Leads a cross functional team in executing the sales cycle, as well as post sale installation and training activities at customer site.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage capital sales cycles.

  • Must be effective in partnering with marketing and sales management to build the strategies and selling tools that will further support increased selling effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated ability to move sales through a budgeted and more importantly, an off budget process.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with our finance teams you’re capable of building business cases, ROI models and financial proposals. You will manage the presentation of these proposals to customer stakeholders including, but not limited to, Procurement managers, CFO & C-suite

  • Negotiating sales agreements and service contracts

  • Develops and maintains outstanding relationships with the company’s prospective and installed base customers, and leverages relationships to drive recurrent sales cycles for the company’s products

  • Provides consistent and timely reporting of key account activities, forecasts and other reporting as required

  • Leads cross functional teams members who support the selling and post sale activities at the account.

  • Attends sales training meetings, as well as trade shows and other events that would tend to promote and give visibility to the companies’ products.

Education and Experience :

  • Degree in Engineering, Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with proven success in surgical or medical capital equipment sales

  • Experience in the medical devices industry with focus on Capital Equipment is required

Skills and Abilities :

  • Proven ability to interact effectively with surgeons and healthcare professionals, both in and out of the operating room

  • Fluent in English and Italian; intermediate Spanish is a plus

  • Strong capability to translate clinical benefits of products into economic value for healthcare providers, with proficiency in financial-based selling tools

  • Highly desirable experience in surgical orthopedics

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large territories

Communication and Travel :

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Willingness to travel over 75% of the time

Executive and Financial Acumen :

  • Background in executive selling, particularly with CEOs, CFOs, and COOs of hospitals

  • Solid understanding of hospital financial operations

Territory : Italy, Spain and Portugal
