The Operational Excellence Site Leader operationalizes High Performance Teams (HPTs) to accomplish facility-wide operational excellence and Parker Lean System (PLS) initiatives for one of Parker Hannifin’s most profitable manufacturing sites. This position will have a relentless focus on eliminating waste and improving our manufacturing processes. On a plant scale, the Site Leader will strengthen our organizational passion for continuous improvement through greater employee engagement, training, and alignment of improvement initiatives with business strategies and revitalize the existing lean manufacturing program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting and developing our site HPT Leaders

  • Facilitate and coordinate all Kaizen events

  • Train others on PLS and other lean methodologies to accomplish operational excellence goals

  • Analyze value streams to assess improvement needs of the business, then plan and lead improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and operations leaders

  • Develop and improve manufacturing methods and business processes to ensure efficient operations and to enable cost effective growth of the company

  • Participate in design reviews of new manufacturing lines or business processes to foster a streamlined operation from inception

  • Sharing best practices with other facilities

  • Coordinate development of team metric boards and problem-solving with HPT Leaders

  • Track metrics and report out, as required

  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

    Qualifications

    Preferred

  • Knowledge of ERP (SAP) system

  • Knowledge of process automation and control systems within Chemical processing facilities

  • Knowledgeable of all facets of plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, materials management, safety and regulatory

    Work Experience

    Required

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/operational leadership

  • A documented track record of proven successes in leading manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence to the bottom line

  • Experienced leadership of continuous improvement programs that produced tangible results with a current lean/six sigma skillset

    Preferred

  • Experience with Lean Transformation of a company

  • Knowledge of process automation and control system utilization to improve productivity

    Education

    Required

  • BS in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Business Management or related discipline

    Preferred

  • Advanced degree in a related Engineering field or Business

    Certifications

    Required

  • Certified Lean Practitioner

    Preferred

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

    Languages

    Required

    English
