Trillium Staffing Solutions Field Service Technician in Saginaw, Michigan

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Service Technician in Saginaw!

Pay rate of $24-$27/hr. This position will involve an estimated 80% travel time or higher typically between M-F but sometime staying into the weekend or requiring departure Sunday night.

In this role, you will:

- - Utilize in-depth knowledge of employer products to problem solve for customers either over the phone or in person. - Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, engineering, project managers, and sales team members to solve issues. - Correct issues on site and follow up to ensure corrective action is in place to avoid future issues. - Be comfortable using a laptop or tablet to send e-mails, attend meetings, and take/send pictures. - Write reports following each site visit detailing issues and solutions. - Be responsible for maintaining and reporting monthly expense reports and your timecard for job costing. - Be comfortable traveling either by plane or in company-provided vehicle.

To qualify for this position, you will:

- - Have a high school diploma. Journeyman card preferred. - Have experience in wastewater plant operation or similar knowledge. - Bring 3+ years of experience in service, machine building/assembly, and have a track record of fine craftsmanship. - Have experience with hand tools, welders, drill presses, and other shop tools, and experience operating a forklift. - Employ excellent customer service and reliability traits. - Be proficient in general MS Office applications and be able to generate reports. - Be proficient in interpreting blueprints that are mechanical, electrical, and structural in nature. - Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to travel to customers' sites. - Exhibit knowledge of relay-based and PLC control packages (preferred). - Exhibit strong presentation skills (preferred). - Be comfortable traveling in various types of weather in both urban and rural areas. - Have strong organizational and time management skills to complete projects on time. - Be able to train others in the use of employer's products. - Adhere to high standards for quality and employ a keen eye for detail. - Follow all company policies and procedures.
