Position Summary

The Assistant Manager, Brand Protection, is responsible for safeguarding our brand’s integrity and ensuring our products maintain their high standards in the market globally. The ideal candidate will have a passion for brand protection, a strong understanding of pricing and assortment strategy, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate across various departments. In this role, you will delve into the intricate world of brand protection, utilizing your investigative skills to safeguard our products and uphold our brands’ integrity. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where your curiosity and analytical mindset will drive critical initiatives that protect our brands globally.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Category to execute improvements and creation of new brand protection related processes

  • Gather and summarize data into a scorecard which supports the commercial organization in implementing a globally aligned disciplined distribution strategy

  • Provide recommendations on enforcement actions and help oversee marketplace monitoring tools

  • Evaluate and report on pricing and assortment governance policies for batteries, lights and auto care

  • Perform detailed risk assessments and recommend proactive measures that drive improved buy box ownership

  • Use story telling techniques to share data in a way that influences better decisions for our customer sales teams

  • Assist in educating internal teams and external partners on brand protection best practices and safeguarding techniques

  • Ability to assist with key ad hoc initiatives (i.e., product serialization, regionalized assortment recommendations, diversion prevention, etc.)

  • Provide brand protection support via initiatives, processes, and monitoring for international markets

  • Use a combination of analytical and communication skills to develop recommendations, influence commercial decisions, and govern related processes

  • Share best practices across customer and channel teams

  • Be relied on for additional ad hoc projects as needed

  • Develop, automate, monitor and report metrics related to brand protection

What we are looking for

  • Experience: 3+ years with increasing responsibility in Brand Protection, Pricing Analytics, Finance, Category, and/or Supply Chain

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI

  • Ability to combine multiple data sets using advanced Excel functions and generating data driven insights

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred or similar experience

  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal and communications skills

  • Curious mindset and strong analytical ability with a passion for numbers and problem-solving

  • Results oriented with proven track record of delivering against expectations

  • Strong objectivity and comfortable making decisions based on facts and supporting rationale

  • Ability to influence without having direct authority

  • Brand protection, anti-counterfeiting, intellectual property, Finance, Category Management or related field

  • Consumer products background preferred

  • Experience with digital retailers
