The primary role of the production scheduler will coordinate and manage count audits, research and correct transactions, investigate root cause, work with personnel to provide and implement solutions to findings. The Production Assistant will follow all policies, procedures, systems, and best practices regarding inventory, for the purpose of maintaining accuracy of transactions from initial receipt to consumption or shipping. The Production Assistant will also process and file all delivery and receiving paperwork for the facility. This employee will also serve as back up for bulk blending production planning and quality testing in the absence of the Quality Supervisor.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage cycle count and inventory control processes including smoothing of counts to ensure balanced volume each month, material transfers, material adjustments. Coordinate investigations into inventory discrepancies. Manage all aspects of inventory including facility’s slow-moving, obsolete, excess and blocked materials.

  • Process the billing of all facility shipments daily. Communicate inventory issues that affect shipping orders in full to customer service representatives and production planners.

  • Manage all facility shipment documentation including adherence to document retention management policy, shipment investigation and proof of delivery requests

  • Order office and safety supplies as needed.

  • Manage Contractor Safety Training program

  • Receive all indirect purchase orders into SAP and maintain vendor records and files

  • Receive all facility visitors (including answering front gate and controlling facility access) and ensure all visitors are properly signed in and out. Manage visitor and contractor ID badges

  • Assist in quality testing in the absence of the Quality Supervisor

What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma or equivlant

  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience in a manufacturing, customer service and/or warehouse environment

  • Inventory and SAP experience

  • Excellent communication skills (Phone, IM, Email, in person)

  • Must be able to work overtime with little or no notice.

  • Excellent communication skills across all multiple levels of the organization required

  • Strong analytical, organizational and math skills

  • Detailed oriented

  • Problem solving skills required

  • Ability to sit for an extended period of time

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
