Job Description Product Development Curriculum focuses on developing defining documents that describe what the entering and exiting student should be capable of, the related areas to be experienced within the course, and the intended results or outcomes of having experienced these activities. Bachelor's degree, 5-7 years of related professional experience Stride, Inc is seeking to update our K-5 online curriculum. The Curriculum Associate will provide support for instructional designers, content experts, audio/video engineers, and visual designers to create efficient workflows within and across Stride's large-scale online course production. This is an ideal opportunity to develop your educational technology skills with a leader in online education. The Curriculum Specialist is responsible for supporting development of new and updated courses that support Stride's strategic goals. The Specialist will research, collaborate, develop, an oversee the production of various types of cutting-edge content. Insert About the Stride/Department ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. * Draw upon strong curriculum expertise in researching, planning and developing new and updated courses; * Develop scope and sequences, pedagogical approach, lesson and learning object structures, technology integration and requirements, teacher support plans that serve as the foundation for the courses; * Manage contractors, as needed; * Help ensure that schedules and budgets are met; * Monitor course performance data. Review emerging instructional trends and supporting research to apply these to continuously improve course efficacy and standards. * Create, document and improve processes, standards, and best practices, as needed Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. Certificates and Licenses: None required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Five (5) years of relevant teaching experience * Three (3) years of successful K-12 curriculum development, including online course development * Exceptional collaboration, communication, analytical and influencing skills * Exemplary writing skills * Willingness to do "whatever it takes" and strong team player * The ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed * Strong data analysis skills * Solid technical skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher and with Adobe Acrobat * Attention to detail and solid organizational skills * The ability to see through multiple projects with many moving parts from beginning to end * Ability to clear required background check DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree with additional coursework specific to curriculum development, instructional practices, online learning, and professional development. * Master's in curriculum development and/or teaching for K-12 preferred. Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. We anticipate the salary range to be $70,055 to $120,246. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, ex erience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
