WorkSource Oregon Behavioral Health Aide - His Place in SALEM, Oregon
Marion County requires on-site work. Remote work is not available. Marion County Health and Human Services is recruiting for a Behavioral Health Aide for His Place, a substance use disorder treatment program with supported housing for fathers and their children. The Behavioral Health Aide is an integral part of our treatment team, providing motivation and coaching to clients receiving treatment services. This role requires the ability to create and maintain a caring and supportive environment for families as they work toward recovery. In this position, the Behavioral Health Aide will support individuals in the His Place program, helping families address addiction and related challenges, develop life skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive services, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. The Behavioral Health Aide will also coordinate and facilitate childcare services for clients in the His Place program. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting with transportation to client appointments in the community. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Assists in assessing health and social service needs of a specific population within a supported housing program where clients reside and receive SUD treatment services. Refers clients to appropriate resource; advocates to obtain required services as necessary; provides information and education on health-related issues. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. Graduation from high school, or equivalent; AND 2. One year of experience (paid or unpaid) working with the client population served by the position, or post high school training in health occupations, behavioral or social sciences; OR 3. Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.
