The franchised La Quinta by Wyndham location in Salem , Oregon is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Franchise) to join its team at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salem.

The Role

The Maintenance position is responsible for providing technical and maintenance services throughout the hotel to keep the hotel’s general equipment and systems in excellent condition.

What you'll do

• Perform preventative maintenance on all guest rooms, furniture, fixtures and equipment.

• Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.

• Checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement.

• Perform routine repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.

• Complete Maintenance Request Forms and Record Logs.

• Maintain the building exterior.

• Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.

You'll be successful if you have

• Certificate and/or experience in building related trades.

• Familiarity with mechanical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and machinery.

• Proficiency in working with hand tools. Excellent communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Customer service-oriented mindset.

Required Qualifications/Experience

• Certificate and/or experience in building related trades.
