About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Salina, KS. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components to create high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have experience with Arc Welding, Tig Welding, Mig Welding, Stainless Steel, Flux Core, Overhead Cranes, and the ability to read blueprints. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other team members to ensure that production goals are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • [A minimum ofone to three years welding experience, or equivalent technical training/certification]{#isPasted}
  • Ability to maintain good attendance.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques (Arc, Spot, MIG, TIG, controlled atmosphere, and plasma cutting), tools and equipment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, management, suppliers, and customers
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as job orders, procedure manuals, and schematics (blue prints)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and organizational skills
  • Skill in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures
  • Ability to use department equipment such as forklift, ladder/scaffold, overhead crane, and power tools

Responsibilities:

  • [Weld level 2 complex parts within router time with little to no supervision]{#isPasted}
  • Layout or load level 2 weld assemblies/components into fixtures
  • Set and maintain proper welding temperatures, wire feeds and gas setting to produce quality welds
  • Visually inspect all weld requirements for penetration and porosity
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; secures tools, materials, and equipment at end of day
  • Ensures work orders are properly followed and completed in a timely fashion
