Description We are in the process of recruiting a permanent Accounts Payable Clerk for our team in the Stone/Glass/Concrete Manufacturing industry located in San Antonio, Texas. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be expected to handle vendor and supplier invoices, maintain digital records, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle the processing and reviewing of vendor and supplier invoices, ensuring adherence to company protocols.

• Maintain digital files for accounts payable in shared folders, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

• Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor and supplier statements to identify discrepancies or outstanding payments and resolve them.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers regarding payment inquiries and updates.

• Prepare and process payment batches, including checks and electronic payments, maintaining proper documentation throughout.

• Assist in the creation and implementation of accounts payable policies, procedures, and controls for regulatory compliance.

• Collaborate with internal departments, such as purchasing and receiving, to resolve invoicing or payment issues and enhance processes.

• Provide necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance for internal and external audits.

• Take initiative to identify spending inefficiencies and suggest improvements.

• Stay updated with industry best practices, recent technology, and changes in accounting regulations relevant to accounts payable processes.

• Handle other duties as assigned by the manager. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Stone/Glass/Concrete Manufacturing industry or similar sector.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, managing discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial records.

• Extensive experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP), including preparing, entering, and maintaining AP records.

• Ability to perform Check Runs, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

• Proficiency in Coding Invoices, classifying and entering expenses accurately.

• Strong Data Entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data management.

• Experience in Invoice Processing, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, demonstrating advanced use for financial analysis and reporting.

• Experience in using Oracle for financial management, including accounts payable functions.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, demonstrating the ability to manage financial data effectively.

• Experience in using SAP for financial management, including accounts payable functions.
