PCSI Janitor Camp Bullis in San Antonio, Texas

Description

PCSI is looking for a Janitor at its Camp Bullis Site! We are searching for a motivated, friendly team member to perform janitorial duties. The right person will have a proactive attitude and takes pride in their accomplishments. This position will report to the Project Manager and is based at Camp Bullis in San Antonio. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.

Benefits Include:

  • Base pay of $17.20/hr. depending upon experience.

What You'll Do as a Janitor:

  • Performs a variety of routine, unskilled and semi-skilled housekeeping work while maintaining the premises of office buildings, apartment houses and/or other commercial or institutional buildings in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, break rooms, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.

  • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces and trim.

  • Sweeps and mops floors, and may occasionally operate a floor buffer.

  • Cleans rugs and/or vacuums carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.

  • Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork.

  • Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels and sills.

  • Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.

  • Transports trash, waste and recyclables to disposal areas.

  • Replenishes bathroom supplies.

  • Opens, closes, locks and unlocks facilities as needed.

  • Keeps records of work completed.

  • Moves and sets up furniture, pictures, etc. as needed and assigned.

  • Policing of grounds, maintaining parking lots and walkways free of debris.

  • Conserve cleaning supplies.

  • Maintain assigned equipment in satisfactory and working condition.

  • Read and be able to understand correct dilution rates for cleaning chemicals.

  • Follow all facility safety polices and procedures.

  • Comply with all City, State, and Federal agencies requirements.

  • Make all decisions based on safety first.

  • Read and fully understand the “Material Safety Data Sheets” (MSDS) for all chemicals and solutions used in our processes and procedures.

  • No requirement for software use.

  • Use of general cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, pails, etc...

  • Use of equipment such as buffers, vacuums, Fans etc…

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum one year experience as a Janitor preferred or any combination of education and training which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the work.

Other Requirements:

  • Heavy work - Pushing objects up to 100 pounds, lifting or carrying objects weighting up to 60 pounds.

  • Squatting and bending - Bending the body downward and forward by bending at the knees.

  • Climbing - Ascending or descending Ladders and stairs.

  • Walking - Tour facility approximately 90% of the time during working hours.

  • Ability to verbally relate to others. Willingness to assist others when needed.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

  • Exposure to dirt, dust, odors, chemicals and/or infectious disease.

  • May be required to work in aseptic areas and/or outdoors.

  • Must be available to work flexible hours. Including but not limited to mornings, nights, and some weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening.

  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.

  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
