Job Title: HR Assistant II

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable HR Assistant II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a generalist level understanding of human resources, capable of fielding various requests related to benefits, retirement, and compensation. This role involves maintaining and processing confidential HR records, responding to inquiries, and preparing reports. The position also includes supporting the employment process, training lower-level staff, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, process, and compile confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy human resource records and statistics.

  • Respond to inquiries and provide information and guidance to employees, applicants, managers, and other authorized parties and/or agencies.

  • Summarize records and prepare various electronic and hard copy reports.

  • Resolve moderately complex problems and make routine recommendations.

  • Update and maintain human resource databases and electronic systems.

  • Provide non-routine information to employees and candidates on human resource matters.

  • Assist employees in completing various human resource forms.

  • Prepare requested reports on topics such as employment, terminations, and compensation.

  • Support the employment process for assigned areas as required.

  • Train lower-level support staff and provide direction as required.

  • Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted.

  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Four or more years of progressive experience in human resources administration or a related field.

  • Customer-focused with a comprehensive understanding of human resource policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

  • Ability to establish priorities and apply critical thinking.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP.

  • Two years' experience utilizing SuccessFactors preferred.

  • Two years' experience utilizing ServiceNow HRSD preferred.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills to interface effectively with all levels of employees, management, and applicants.

  • Ability to accurately document and maintain records and files.

  • General familiarity with office software.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with human capital management (HCM) systems.

  • Experience in administrative support and HR support roles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
