Job Title: Manufacturing and Assembly Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Manufacturing and Assembly Specialist to join our team. This role involves manufacturing and assembling pipettes, operating under a microscope, and managing heat packaging processes. The role is split 50% in a clean room and 50% in a warehouse, with a primary focus on inventory control. It is crucial that the employee is comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods. If not, alternative positions will be considered. The ideal candidate will be expected to continually improve, with daily output and yield requirements provided for guidance. This position involves a new linear workflow model, where employees rotate through manufacturing stations. The initial 30 days will be focused on mastering each station.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in SAN DIEGO, California.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working in a clean room where all gowning procedures must be followed. Employees are required to wear a hair net, wash their hands thoroughly every time they enter the clean room, and avoid wearing excessive makeup, lotion, or perfumes. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required daily. The work schedule for this opening is the 2nd shift (3:30pm to midnight) with a pay rate of $18.50/hr. The manufacturing team comprises around 30 people and the workflow model involves rotating manufacturing stations, with the first 30 days focusing on mastering each spot.
