KRON4 News in San Francisco is searching for a midday news producer. We are looking for a producer who knows how to showcase the big story and can quickly adjust for breaking news. This position will line produce, edit videos and create some newscast graphics. The KRON4 midday team produces a 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. newscast daily. The midday news producer will work out of our San Francisco studio on The Embarcadero.

This will be a full time, non-union, non-exempt position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Line produce a one-hour newscast in ENPS daily.

• Write news stories and teases.

• Edit video for stories and teases using Adobe Premiere

• Create/order newscast graphics.

• Time newscast in the control room and adjust as needed for breaking news.

• Communicate with reporters, assignment desk, anchors and managers.

• Management reserves the discretion to add or modify job duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience producing a compelling newscast.

• Experience with newsroom systems and desktop editing software

• Demonstrated ability to work with writers, reporters and assignment desk editors.

• College degree or equivalent in journalism/communications or broadcasting preferred.

Compensation: $31.25+/HR to commensurate with experience and skill level
