About the Role:
The purpose of this position is to implement and manage QHSE (Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental) programs relative to a corporate market area.
What You’ll Do:
Evaluates new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.
Monitors injury, illness, and incident related performance within the account, market area, or other assigned area of responsibility. Monitors performance for trends or other indicators of improving or degrading incident performance and develops and implements strategic solutions that will improve the performance results as required.
Manages, develops and implements QHSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and QHSE needs of the client account. This includes contractor safety.
Oversees QHSE plans, playbooks, trainings, and procedures for the account, market area, or assigned area of responsibility. Ensures information is current, complete and effectively implemented.
Monitors QHSE (Health and Safety and Environmental) regulatory compliance within the account, market area, or assigned area of responsibility. Communicates all findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to effect timely and necessary corrections. Assist in the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.
Assists in identifying in opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing quality of services for a client/account.
Promotes safety consciousness among employees by providing accurate and informative data, conducting safety meetings, giving timely feedback, on safety suggestions, and visibly supporting the safety program(s).
Acts as a resource to staff and employees as a QHSE subject matter expert.
Maintain and facilitate all necessary training and licensing to function as a signing authority on all HSE matters.
Manages, develops and implements Joint Commission (TJC) programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements.
Conducts and manages Environment of Care (EOC) rounds with team onsite to meet regulatory compliance.
Extensive knowledge of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and Pre Construction Risk Assessment (PCRA)
Support People Engagement and account DE&I objectives; Promote and maintain CBRE culture throughout account.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within a single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Education and Experience
Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in HSE from four-year college or university. Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is essential. Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and / or compliance officers is preferred.
Experience working in any one or multiples of the following is essential: Chemical processing and refining environments, manufacturing, healthcare, food processing, pharmaceutical / biotechnology, construction, heavy industry, and facility maintenance and management..

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Consultant position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HSE Consultant position is $160,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
